The vacuum infusion process is a technique that uses vacuum pressure to force epoxy resin into a laminate such as carbon fiber, kevlar or fiberglass. Laminates are laid dry onto the area of repair and the vacuum is applied before epoxy resin is introduced.  Once a complete vacuum has been achieved, epoxy resin is vacuumed into the laminate through tubing.

This process can be performed on wood and concrete among other substrate types.
